Golf Order Of Merit

golferRace to Dubai is the new name for the Order of Merit, and is the result of an exciting partnership between the European Tour and Leisurecorp, a Dubai World company that develops lifestyle destinations in the region.

Leisurecorp was founded in 2006. The Chairman is Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem and the Chief Executive Officer is David Spencer. Between them these men have a wealth of experience in development and marketing, and the jewel in their crown right now is Jumeirah Golf Estates – home of the Dubai World Championship which is the climax of the Race to Dubai.

Jumeirah Golf Estates was created with the vision of having four ecosignature golf courses named Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. The Fire and Earth courses were designed by Greg Norman, the Water course by Vijay Singh and the Wind course by Pete Dye, Sergio Garcia and Greg Norman. Jumeirah Golf Estates also serves as the new international headquarters of The European Tour itself.

As a golfing location, Dubai is viewed by many golf enthusiasts as being second to none. Home to the Dubai Desert Classic, the Dubai Ladies Masters and many other prestigious events, including the Dubai World Championship itself, Dubai is one of the most attractive golfing destinations in the world.

The good news for those of us who like to bet on golf is that we don’t need to travel to Dubai in order to profit from the golfing events that take place there. Thanks to the internet, we can place Race to Dubai bets with several reliable bookmakers. The best ones are revealed on the Golf Bookmakers page of this site, so if you haven’t done so already, take a look at them now.
